IBC, RAI Amsterdam, 15.09.2024 . Panel Discussion “The Journey from Concept to Creation”.

Just back from 3 days at the International Broadcasting Convention in Amsterdam, I would like to give you an update on the actual status and the next step in the design of the CINE EXPANSION KIT (CEK).

We showed the first prototype during the show and got lots of super positive and encouraging feedback.

Improvements we are working on right now are

• various top handle extensions to facilitate the camera operation, depending on the rigging-style

• preparation for internal SSD-recording

• optimising of all CEK-panels

Maybe the biggest next step is to make the CEK available for various interesting mirrorless cameras. SONY’s FX-3 and FX-30 are on top of this list with several others to follow. If you are a filmmaker yourself and would like to use the CEK for your upcoming projects, please let us know which camera body you would be using.
