WHAT IS IT ?

The Cine Expansion Kit is a modular enhancement of your mirrorless film making camera. It serves only one purpose: To make your kit more practical, more robust, more flexible for the project you are working on.

WHO IS IT FOR ? (and who not for?)

First of all (as of now, other cameras are under consideration) you are shooting with either a FUJIFILM (X-H2, X-H2s) or a SONY (F-X3, F-X30). Second, you are mainly using (heavier) cine optics (most often PL-mount), and rig your camera with accessories like a high capacity V-mount battery, an external viewfinder, remote FIZ motors, wireless image transmission, external audio recording etc. Third, you are using video-tripods, maybe a Dana-Dolly from time to time or an EasyRig.

If these points apply to you, you know exactly what we are talking about here: While the above mentioned cameras offer amazing image quality for a very decent price, the body style and size is (obviously) designed for the use as a photography camera. The Cine Expansion Kit is one easy way to ‘fix this problem’.

It is probably NOT the best option for you, if you prefer quickly put to action, light-weight run and gun style shooting for your Vlog, YouTube video production etc. The Cine X One Pro (a FUJIFILM X-H2s with Cine Expansion Kit, DZOfilm lenses) fully rigged, weighs in at 8,5 to 9,5 kg. Let this be a warning, if you just thought “Oh man, this rig looks cool ….”. A camera like that, makes only sense if you intend to use it in an environment it was designed for.

WHERE CAN I GET IT ?

The Cine Expansion Kit will be available for purchase online on my website and other online stores as well as custom kits (a combination of the CEK and selected components and accessories) in dedicated retail stores. We are updating on a regular basis.

WHEN WILL IT BE AVAILABLE ?

Right now, the second prototype is in the phase of finalisation. According to plan, the first quarter 0f 2025 is the timeframe we are looking at. Thank you very much to all of you for giving your feedback, suggesting features and showing interest to own a CEK as soon as possible.

HOW MUCH WILL IT BE ?

At this point, we can not yet disclose a final sales price. But don’t you worry – it will be priced very interestingly with respect to the other components of a camera rig like the Cine X One Pro.
